Through a business course at JMU, I worked on a team of 6 students with local nonprofit Gift & Thrift. We acted as consultants, meeting with the client to discuss their needs for growth. Our client emphasized a need for long term volunteers.

 

My team and I decided to focus on recruitment strategy. We planned a volunteer information session at the thrift shop. We also created an informational flyer to advertise the event. We each came up with different poster/flyer ideas and presented them to the client for feedback. After, I translated our rough sketches into a poster using Photoshop and the company's Pantone colors. We then distributed the flyers around campus. Our client was very pleased with our work.
